Walkie Talkie is an electronic eMail system that uses Speech Manager to talk in real time across a network. Have lots of fun with your friends at work or get down to some serious real time talk conferences across the network. Version 1.1 adds the ability to send your picture ID across the network as your talking. Send your smiling face to your friends or the guy or gal you like would like to meet in the next building!
Small application without all the over head of Quick Mail and can be just as effective. Send an important memo across the network and have it immediately read. Walkie Talkie helps you to stay in touch at work by putting the power of speech at your finger tips. This program needs Apple Speech Manager to utilize it's speaking capabilities.

•Make sure Speech Manager and voices file are in your sytem folder
1-Put a copy of Walkie Talkie on two or more networked machines. (You may also share messages between two copies of the application on a single machine).
2-Copy the AppEvent Prefs file into the System Folder on both machines.
3-Make sure that Program Linking is operative on both machines (see the Sharing Setup control panel).
4-Make sure that the owner/guest has Program Linking privileges (see Users and Groups).
